April 2013

We are very excited to have been invited by our patron Ben Davies to perform in a showcase he is staging at The Peepul Centre in Leicester on Saturday 1st June.

The showcase is something that Ben has wanted to produce for quite sometime, he wants to showcase the best talent he is working with in the industry from across the UK and give them a platform to be seen by other industry professionals and also by his agent.

We will be performing alongside some of Bens groups including Momentum, Addict & Influence plus there will be performances by Urdang Academy and a touring professional contemporary company!

This is a very exciting opportunity for us and we will keep you posted!

Our annual summer show was a huge success, with over 100 of our pupils performing to sell out audiences for three performances!

All students that took part showed a huge amount of discipline both throughout the rehearsal period and during the week at the theatre and all their hard work certainly paid off, everyone performed their routines with energy, commitment and a sense of pride.

We have had some fantastic feedback from families of those involved and also members of the general public.

Congratulations to Anna and her Junior B Squad who competed in The Red Cross “Make Your Move” competition on Saturday 3rd March at The Amey Theatre in Abingdon.

Their piece was based on the differences between different children’s lives across the world and how the actions of one group of children can affect the lives of others without them even realizing.

Not only did the girls win the prize for Best Stage Presence but they were placed 1st Overall and now go onto the Regional finals on July 7th.

If they succeed again they move onto the National Finals at The 02 so lets all keep our fingers crossed!
